BIOSILK Hydrating Therapy Hair care For Curly Hair

I was contacted by BioSilk to try out their latest line of Hydrating Therapy products, I was really interested in trying this because I am a curly girl, in case you didn’t know. For us curly girls we need moisture for our in order for them to flourish. So when it comes to products I need ones that will do just that. And also allow me to style and not make my hair frizzy.

I was sent the whole collection and I have some thoughts – I will say I was pleasantly surprised.

Shampoo and Conditioner: I cant remember the last time I used a shampoo . I usually use a very moisturizing cleansing conditioner . I will say i was surprised that the shampoo didn’t strip my hair and cleaned my curls well. The conditioner was the real test though. I require for my conditioners to have some kind of “slip” meaning that I can brush or comb through my hair easily due to the conditioner in my hair.

I was happy to discover that the conditioner did indeed have “slip” . I will say I wish it was more but it was enough where I can do my usual routine in the shower and my hair felt softer with the product in.

Spray Leave In Conditioner: I was kind of disappointed with this product because I couldn’t use this on a weekly wash day basis. I actually dont like leave in sprays, I never get enough of product that I need for my hair. BUT I did try using this throughout the week to refresh my hair. This is when I was able tot really use it. I liked using it better this way. It moisturized and was able to do quick refreshing styling in my curls.

Maracuja Oil: This is by far my favorite product in this whole collection. I use this every week when it comes to wash day, I use my leave it first then apply this then my regular styling products. It really adds an extra layer of moisture.

Moisture Mousse: I was super skeptical+ about this product because for me I gave up on mousse YEARS ago, because it always dried out my hair. Yet I still gave this a try and was surprised that it gave me moisture and styled just the way I wanted. Even after a few days I didn’t have to put more product in . It also worked well with my usual styling products.

Ending thoughts: I was presently surprised by this collection and so happy that I feel its curly girl friendly. Let me also say that not every curly girl may like this set , our hair is different and what may work for you may not work for me and vice versa. I wold highly recommend this collection and I enjoy as I continue to use it.
