Silk Therapy Original - Travel Diary: Honeymoon Packing Essentials

We are off on our honeymoon today!

I finished packing up my last few things this morning and now we are off. As I finished up my packing, I made a checklist of all the packing essentials I need for this trip and the travel essentials that I need for every trip. When making a checklist of what to pack, you first start off with your basic needs such as your toothbrush, lip balm, a comb, etc., and then you build off of that list thinking of the climate that you’ll be in.

For our honeymoon, we will be spending six days in Punta Cana – a hot, humid, and sometimes rainy climate. So I had to consider how I was going to maintain my hair in the humidity, the right kid of makeup that I wanted to pack that would not run or look like it is melting in the heat. I also had to pack essentials such as sunscreen and bug spray due to the fact that there are mosquitoes and we will be zip lining where there will be tons of bugs.

Also, I had to consider what travel essentials I needed based off of the outfits that I packed (you can see some of the outfits that I packed for this vacation in this previous post from Monday). It is essential to pack items in your travel bag based off your outfits as well. As a fashionista, it is important to me that my accessories and makeup match the outfits that I am wearing, because they don’t then there was no point of packing them at all.

There are tons of things to consider when packing, so to give you a better understanding of my travel essentials, and tips on packing in general, I’m going to take you through what I packed for this trip and why.

Biosilk Silk Therapy is also another travel essential as it great for adding a little moisture, protecting from heat, keeping down the frizz, and giving you a look of having silky smooth hair.

These travel essentials are in my bag and I am fully confident they will keep me looking glamorous for this trip and all future trips. Of course, there will be items that I will adjust based on the climate that I’ll be traveling to, but to be honest, I don’t see myself going any place that is not warm. I don’t do well in the cold.
